Here are a few recent videos of Bodhi.

Pelican Brown update

We took another photo of Bodhi next to his favorit statue of Pelican Brown. You can tell he's growing! And he's so interested in these photos that he slept while I held him for the recent photo.

November 15 above, December 15 below...stay tuned for the January photo!

We also had some friends coming and going from San Diego. Chris and Sara visited from Texas with their two kids. Brooks (with Sara) is almost 6 months old.

Our friend Michelle left San Diego this week to go back to South Carolina, only to find out a couple days later that she's moving to Honolulu!! Send us your address so we can come visit!!

Yup, he's got the smile down!

Someone commented on the last posting that Bodhi has got his smile down. I'll have to agree. He's always in a good, chatty mood in the morning and I took these yesterday...

Although today is rainy and very cold, last week we were able to get out and see some sights around town. We went to Balboa Park and had tea in the organ pavilion where they were playing christmas carol medleys on the big organ. It was a gorgeous day, in the 70's and clear. We went to the museum of photographic arts and Bodhi took a big fat poo in the sculpture garden that was barely contained by the diaper. A memorable day for all!

Nothing like capping off a long day with a nice bath. I like this photo because you can really see Ryan's brown eyes coming out, which I hear were Great-grandmother Betsy's eyes.

Santa with Bodhi!

Ryan and I weren't sure if we'd get the stereotypical screaming baby photo on Santa's lap. Our happy little boy actually didn't mind a strange white haired man with bad teeth picking him up and snuggling with him beside a fire. The photos turned out really cute but we kept an eye on the shifty eyed bearded one.

I think Bodhi's egg nog belly is rivalling Santa's this year. We took Bodhi in for his 2-month checkup and vaccinations. He's 14 lbs and 23.5 inches long. That puts him in the 75th percentile for length and a whopping 92nd percentile for weight. Luckily the pediatrician didn't put Baby Bodhi on a diet during holiday treats season, he said that we are doing an excellent job feeding him and to keep up the good work! So bring on the chocolate pumpkin bread and fudge! (Bring them to mama since she's feeding Bodhi.)

(Mama's note: I think there was some trick photography in this shot because his belly doesn't usually look this big!)

We went over to visit with Bodhi's girlfriend Lucinda (and Jess, Andy and Mary) this week and let the babies hang out a bit. Here are a couple of pictures... Funny how Bodhi always makes the funniest expressions when Lucinda is around...

Celebrate Bodhi Day!

My good friend Jenny Kuli-Feldman informed me that today (Dec. 8) is Bodhi Day! It's legit! Here's an explanation from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodhi_Day. So here's a short photo session celebration of Bodhi, in his Bodhi Tree outfit, celebrating Bodhi Day. He wishes everyone an enlightened Bodhi Day!!

Bodhi's 8-week birthday!

This Monday marked exactly 8 weeks since Bodhi made his debut. Over the weekend we visited the Reillys and then Uncle Jeb and Auntie Ling came to visit. Although Jeb never actually held Bodhi, they did sit on the couch together making occasional eye contact. I think Jeb will like Bodhi more once he can talk football stats with him like he does with Ryan!

We also visited the Reillys for the first time since Bodhi was a teeny tiny newborn, so they were very happy to see his chubbyness. (Not sure if that's a word.) Here is one with Rose and Mike. Lots of lovin' on Bodhi happens at their house.

It's been a bit chilly around here lately and so Mr. Bode has sported his first hoodie! It was so cozy he fell asleep.

He's been smiling and chatting a lot lately and Daddy thinks that Bodhi's about ready for his first word. I was coaxing him into saying "hello" and I got a "ello" out of him so I'd say he's almost there! It could have also been a coincidence but I choose to believe he's showing signs of being a genius!

Here's one of Ryan trying to coax words out of an 8-week old!
